General Manager Sales Apartment Building Flooring

Job description

Base Range $100,000 to $150,000 plus bonus. All in compensation target of $150,000 to $200,000. Position in Austin. Will be responsible state of Texas. Travel within Texas. Must have "Rolodex" multi-family property management companies, buyers of multi-family building or flooring products. Apartment Associations, Universities and/Condominiums.

The General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall sales and delivery strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, candidate must be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise.


  • Sales Growth
  • Establish Goals and Targets for the sales team as well as programs (incentives) to provide motivation
  • Account Retention
  • Create revenue and expenditure budgets for sales team
  • Develop different selling strategies for specific target markets
  • Managing account reps to one day turn them into sales people
  • Industry function participation (committees, and all association gatherings)
  • Product knowledge (becoming a professional at what you do)
  • Weekly meetings/ PK’s
  • Establish and enforce guidelines for Apartment Association and event participation
  • Work closely with Executive Team to keep abreast of sales team performance, market trends and competitor activity
  • Develop presentation material to assist in company sales objectives
  • Meeting and spending time with everyone at Management Company…top to bottom.
  • Trade shows and conferences.


  • Branch Management Experience Required
  • Inventory control experience Required
  • Minimum 4 years of operations management experience required

Preferred education and experience

  • Flooring Industry Experience a plus
  • Inventory control experience a plus
  • College degree preferred
